Counseling from a Christian Worldview
Hi, friend! My name is Scott. I'm excited you stopped by my website today.
My Story
I’m an ordained pastor and trained Christian counselor. I love helping people find hope and help in life's struggles. I’ve been doing this for more than 20 years. It’s very gratifying seeing people come out on the other side victoriously of some challenge they’ve been facing. This is what drove me back to seminary a second time to get my doctorate in counseling years ago.
I believe the Christian worldview offers the most comprehensive understanding of life, and the only real lasting hope for change. Because God is central to the Christian worldview, God is central to helping people.
(To understand how counseling from a Christian worldview differs from other models of counseling, please see the confessional statement for The Biblical Counseling Coalition. )
Cost
Because of my Christian beliefs and convictions, I counsel under the authority of the church instead of the state. I believe this allows me greater opportunity to help people. Unfortunately without state licensure, I’m unable to accept insurance payment for my services. While I've made intentional efforts to keep my counseling fee as low as possible, I do require a payment of $100.00 per meeting in order to sustain my ministry. My preferred method of payment is Zelle.
